Accommodation

Where to stay

Most guests will stay at Taita Hills Safari Resort or Salt Lick for pre-wedding festivities, wedding and celebration party, with additional options in Nairobi for your arrival and departure.

Primary Venue

Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa

Wedding venue accommodation

This is where the wedding will take place and where many guests may choose to stay.

  • We encourage guests to arrive on Sunday, June 13 — likely on the afternoon train.
  • If you'd prefer, you can travel down to Taita on the morning of Monday, June 14, arriving by midday, before celebrations start.

Don't worry, Salt Lick is just 10 minutes down the road if rooms at Taita fill up!

Decide what suits you best: if travelling down on the 13th, book 3 nights; otherwise, book 2 nights. We'd encourage booking soon, as rooms will fill up (a nearby alternative is available — see below).

Note: It's best to book directly via the hotel to guarantee the rate, pricing, and wedding room availability.

Alternative Option

Salt Lick Safari Lodge

If Taita Hills is full or you prefer an alternative

Just 10 minutes from Taita Hills with shuttles available. Similar accommodation with an incredible watering hole where you can see animals, particularly at sunrise or sunset.

  • Price$220 per night (double room, full board - all meals included)
  • TransportShuttles will be available to take guests between the two hotels (10 minutes)
